Sore Throat & Cold
Cold and sore throat are mostly linked with one another. The best treatment for sore throat is gargling every hour with salt mixed warm water. You may mix the black pepper or red dry chillies (cayenne pepper) also in the warm water to gargle. It breaks the accumulated mucus and cleanses the throat and the mucus membrane thereby giving much relief to you. Ginger tea also works out very well for this purpose when prepared with no milk or very little milk.

Fever and Cold
Mild fever and cold problems can be cured at home. For fever fasting is necessary to prevent further increase in the temperature of body. Consume liquids like lime juice. Ice and water are good tools in the treatment of fever. Apply wet towel all over the body to reduce temperature or put folded wet towel on the stomach or forehead of the victim. You can use ice bags also in place of wet towel. Paracetamol and ibuprofen pills can be administered for fever and cold 2 to 3 tablets per day for adults but restrict to 3 days only. Garlic also helps in curing fever and cold. Add one clove of garlic to a cup of warm water and leave it for some time so that its essence mixes in the water. Remove the garlic and drink the water. You feel the relief.

Nausea is a kind of uneasiness in your upper stomach combined with a feeling of vomiting. So you may get rid of it by increasing the intake of liquids and abstaining from solid food for a day. Have a glass of lemon or lime juice 3, 4 times a day. If vomiting is there, it is better to mix electrolytes powder also in the juices or in pure water. Other home remedies for nausea include ginger tea, or decoction made up of cumin seeds, fennel, dry mint leaves or cinnamon etc.
